How do I add custom fields?
In order to provide the best support possible, a certain amount of standardization is required to make sure we can help navigate you through PipelineDeals if you ever need support. As a result, we do not currently allow for customization of these basic menu items.
Can I customize the main menu order and names? For example renaming Deals to Opportunities?
You must be an Account Administrator to add Custom Fields. You can add custom fields by selecting the Gear Icon > Account Settings > Custom Fields. There are Company, Deal, and Person custom fields. To add a Custom Field, click Add Custom Field and choose the Custom Field type you want to create.
How can I make default fields compulsory/required?
Administrators are able to make any field compulsory from the Field Ordering page under Account Settings. Click on the gear icon in the upper right-hand corner, then on Account Settings, then on Field Ordering on the left-hand side. Click on the Company, Deal, or Person tab to find the field you want to make required. Then, check the box in the Required column next to the field you want to make compulsory. Changes are saved automatically. Any of the Displayed fields can be required - if you wish to make one of the hidden Other fields required, you'll need to move it to Displayed first.
How can I add or change deal stages in my account?
If you're an admin, you can customize deal stages in Account Settings.
How can I adjust user roles and account visibility?
If you have admin privileges, you can adjust user roles by visiting the Users page in Account Settings. You can further adjust your account visibility rules under Account Details.
Can a basic user add new companies, people and deals?
Yes, any user on your PipelineDeals account can add new People, Company, and Deal records. Non-admin users can also request to add a new user from any profile page sent to admins.
How do I make every person and company visible to all user roles without assigning any ownership?
Admins can set account visibility rules for Companies and People for all users in the account from Account Settings > Account Details
How do I adjust the number of users we are paying for?
If you are an Administrator in the Account, you can adjust the number of user licenses in your Account Settings under Payment and Billing. Please note that you cannot reduce the number below your current number of users. If you need to reduce users, you will need to do that in the users section before you adjust your number of user licenses.
How do I delete a User?
To move a user to inactive, go to the User section in your Account Settings. Then select Actions next to the users name and select Mark user as inactive. Once they're marked as inactive, they are no longer able to log in to PipelineDeals and you can either invite someone to take their place or decrease your number of seat licenses on your Payment & Billing page. Any historical data for that person, such as activities they entered in the past, will still be marked as having been written by the inactive user, rather than deleting them out entirely. We do not completely delete users because their historical data may be important.
Where can I add a new user?
Admins can add new users to the account from the + in the upper right corner, the Users page in Account Settings, and from any Company, Person, or Deal profile by clicking the link near the owner field "Don't see who you're looking for? Add a new user"
How can I reactivate an inactive user?
Once a user has been deactivated, there is not a way to reactivate their previous account. You will need to create a new account for them by re-inviting them to your account in the Account Settings under User.
Is it possible to create a custom field only for admin use -- everyone can see it and it's value but only admin can use it?
Not currently, no - if a user has visibility over a person, deal, or company, they also have the ability to edit any of the custom fields on that person, deal, or company.
How can I change the existing custom field type to be a different field type? (IE: I created a text field and want it to be a drop-down)
At this time there is not a way to switch the existing field type to a different field type. You will need to create a new field and do an update by import to populate the old data into your new field.
How do I add my company logo and change the colors in my PipelineDeals account?
Administrators can brand their account by going to the Colors & Branding page in Account Settings.
How do I change the currency in PipelineDeals?
If you are an Administrator on the account, you can adjust the currency for the entire account in your Account Settings in the Account Details section: https://app.pipelinedeals.com/admin/modern/currencies.
How do I find my API Key?
If you are an account administrator, you can find the API keys associated with your account in the Account Settings section under PipelineDeals API.
Is it possible to change the language?
At this time PipelineDeals in only available in English.
Why does it say this users email address is taken? How do I remove it?
Each email address used to create an account must be unique. The user's email address cannot already exist as a Primary (login), second or third email address in the My Profile section of any account. If the user still has access to the account, they will need to adjust their email in the My Profile section or you will need to use a different email address to invite them. If their account is no longer active, please contact us for further assistance.
