How can I get exports to include the data I want?
Exports respect the data selected on the screen. Simply add and remove your desired columns using the 'Add/Remove Columns' feature and then perform the export.
Why can't I export the Activities column?
The Activities column in the list views gives you a full history of Activities logged for the associated company, deal, or person, as well as any comments made on those Activities. The visual presentation doesn't translate well to spreadsheet files, so the data is not exported from those list views. Instead, you can export Activities from the Activity Report. Filter for the company, deal, or person you want to see Activities for, then click Export.
Do you have to assign an owner when adding a new person or deal to the database?
Yes. People and deals are required to have an owner in PipelineDeals. Ownership will default to the user adding the record unless otherwise specified.
How can I generate a report with all contacts and their email addresses?
You can export all of your contacts with their email addresses from the People tab. To choose the columns you wish to include in your report, click 'Add/Remove Columns', then check the box next to each of the columns you wish to include in your report. If you want to export this report, select 'Export' and then either 'Export CSV' or 'Print or PDF'.
I have fields that I do not see in PipelineDeals, how do I create them?
Administrators can add custom fields in their Account Settings that will be available to all users in the account. You must create them in your Account Settings before you complete your import.
Do you have a limit for how much data can be imported?
We can only display 50,000 records, but we do not have a limit on how much data you can import. You will just need to filter your data based on particular criteria to be able to see it. We recommend grouping data together based on fields like tags, sources, stages etc.
Why did my download not appear right away on the screen?
You can export companies, deals. people and activities to CSV files. If your export contains more than 100 records, a direct download link will be emailed to you when your export is ready.
How come I cannot see an option to export my file as a PDF?
If your file contains more than 100 records, you will not have the ability to export it as a PDF. You must export it as a .CSV.
Why do I not see the option to Export?
You will need to work with the Admin on your account. They have the ability to give you access to generate exports.
I need to redo my import. How do I undo my import?
You can undo an import by pressing the down arrow next to Add Company, Add Deals or Add People and press Manage Imports and Delete.
How do I bulk update existing field in PipelineDeals?
Within the PipelineDeals People section, you can do a bulk update of People Owner, Status and tags. To update the owner you can check off the People you need to Reassign and press Reassign and select the new owner at the top of the screen. To update tags, you can check off the corresponding people and press More and select your option. Please note that adding tags on a record will add your new tags in addition to any other tags that are in place. It will not remove the previous tags associated to that record. You can also bulk update the Status, Owner, Archive or Unarchive a Deal. Again, you just check off which Deals you need to adjust pres More and select the corresponding option at the top of the screen. If you need to adjust something else, you will need to complete an update by import. Please note that you cannot bulk delete data by doing an update by import.
Why don't I see the vCard option?
Exporting is a permission controlled by account administrators. This permission can be enabled by visiting the Users section of Account Settings.
